ADCRG: Ard Diploma Choimisiuin Le Rinci Gaelacha, the Highest Diploma in Gaelic Dancing, an adjudicator.

Bloomers: Worn under dresses [by women], like short boxer shorts. with elastic at legs. Usually the color of the dress.

Feile: A competitions consisting only of Irish Dancing.

Feis [pronounced "fesh"]: a fesitval that includes solo step dancing, ceili dancing, crafts, instrumental, vocal music, and Gaelic language competitions.

Feisianna: Plural of a feis.

Flexi-Soles, Hard Shoes, Heavy Shoes, Hornpipe Shoes, Jig Shoes: shoes with fiberglas tips and heels used to execute tapping & shuffle moves.

Ghillies, Reel Shoes, Soft Shoes: Black, soft-soledd shoes with side loops for lacings. Men's are similar to jazz shoes.

Oireachtas: a super feis. Organized by age & gender, but there are no separations between skill levels.

Poodle Socks: White socks worn by women. Reach between knee & ankle.

TCRG: Teasgicoir Choimisiuin Le Rinci Gaelacha, a Gaelic Commission Dancing Teacher, a Certified Instructor.
