Our Community Service Project makes it easy for others in the community to assist us and help others in need at the same time.
Every day, hundreds of people perform a simple task for the Ronald McDonald House -- they pull the TAB off an aluminum can. The House collects aluminum can tabs for several reasons. The tabs take up less space than a can, and tabs can be cleaned and stored more easily. There are approximately 933 tabs in one pound. The House receives salvage value for aluminum tabs which come from beverage cans. All proceeds are used to support the day to day operations of the House. Collecting tabs is a fun and easy way to get involved with the Ronald McDonald House. It's a fun project for any age group, as well as schools and organizations.
