I thought it was best movie this year. Visually I haven't seen as beautiful since Ridley Scott's original Alien. I hope there will be a "Special Edition" out in the future with sceens that were cut for time. |

This one is an 'all-timer' in my books! I missed this one in the theaters,(boohoo..)but I have a fairly decent home theater system, and I own the video. I sit centered, crank the surround sound, and indulge to Besson's fantasy for eyes, and Serra's delight to the ears. I have to admit that I am now a fan of Bruce Willis(ack! also, check out Last Man Standing for more B.W.)As for T5E, Ridley, Gilliam, Cameron, etc. wish they could have the passion for life ebb the way Besson's films do. (check out The Professional-- viva Leon!) I think only Zemeckis does as well with human spirit and SFX in the same context. Anyone knowing particulars of the sound engineering on T5E, please contact me via email. |

Though because of my own lazyness I was denied the "Theater Experience", I seen the movie 8 times on Pay-per-View, and I've worn out a VHS copy. All available wav's and RA's are on my computers, and I ran out of space for movies. Need I say more, yes! Willis is explosive, Jovovich is HOT, and Gary Oldman as Zorg ranks as one of the coolest movie villains (Or henchmen) I've ever seen! By the way, BRUCE WILLIS IS GOD!!! |

This wasn't a bad movie, but the title of all time best belongs to The Professional, which was also by Luc Besson. The story and characters are much more developed. |

I stumbled onto this page on my search for a clear and detailed pic of a Mondoshavan! Anybody know any? Lovely movie, unusually good on small TV-screens too, not common when special effects are used, do You think? |

I would have to agree that it is one of the best movies I have seen, and I was lucky enough to be able to buy the video from my local videostore for $9.95 (but the guy knew me a sold it to me for half price, so I got a perfect copy of it for only $4.95! Yes!!) I wasn't fortunate enough to be able to see it in the theatre, but I sure am making up for it by watching it as much as I can! It truly is a one of a kind movie. |

The Fifth Element is my favourite movie hands down. Why? Because it just damn rules. It seems to strike people in the extreme, as most poeple I know either love it or hate it. Luc Besson is a magician. I'll definitely be seeing Joan of Arc when it's released. Bruce Willis turns in his usual awesome performance, and Chris Tucker ruled. But the best performance would have to go to Milla Jovovich (Leeloo). I know she's hailed as something of a Net-goddess right now, but MAN does she deserve it. Can't wait to buy the video !!! |

The Fifth Element is the best movie ever made. I really really love it! I have the movie on video so I watch parts of it every day. Those parts that Leeloo is in, is the best. One more thing. Milla Jovovich is the cutest woman on earth |

There are a lot of people out there who really hate this movie, and I never can figure out why. The acting's great, the story could use a little something, but it's still very good, and visually, it's breathtaking. This is one of those "Star Wars" type movies, in that it generates a fan following, and eventually, everyone else will come around. (Let's just hope there's a sequal!) |

The Fifth Element is one of my two favorite films ever made. The other movie being "Leon" which was also directed by Luc Besson. I could praise The Fifth Element for hours, but it's more interesting to *try* to find a flaw in it. I honostly can't think of anything I'd change. |

Rented it 'cause I like fun SF -- will own it soon! Reminds me of Hudson Hawk and The Last Action Hero -- all of which make fun of their own genre, and are loopy. But this one takes the cake! Fun, fun, fun -- as I'm sure most people here will agree! |

When I came out of the theater I was almost too dizzy to walk, and for 24 hours I was completely wired. The next day I told my friends that they absolutely had to see it with me, and was surprised when I took them to see it and they didn't like it. After seeing this page, it's nice to know I'm not the only nut. Did you notice the Terry Gilliam connection? Ian Holm was in Time Bandits and Brazil, Bruce Willis was in 12 Monkeys, and John Neville (the warship captain who "shoots first and asks questions later") had the title role in The Adventures of Baron Munchausen. |

The Movie just started showing on HBO and I love it. It is so great. The Opera singer is all that and some. I just dance when she's singing that song while that chick was kicking the alians butts. When the Opera singer was dancing is the best moment in the movie for me, I like the chick and all but the Opera singer stole my heart. |

I saw this movie for the first time on HBO, and absolutely fell in love with it. Beyond the fact I have since seen its faults, there is something there -- an underlying force, something beyond a movie which allowed me to adore this movie as much as I do. I don't know what it was, yet; all I know is that this movie is a creation that cannot be appreciated if all you do is watch it with your eyes. It is a movie which works on its own levels, a movie given life beyond script and special effects. It is a movie that lives. Meet it. |

I have always loved Bruce Willis, since "Moonlighting", but this movie has combined the absolute best of every possible world. Bruce, (explaination within itself of a great movie), sci-fi, perfect script, and effects. The Fifth Element will be, sadly, one of the forgotten classics - forgotten by the media, but certainly not by the "die-hard" fans of it's perfection. It is a top movie of all time, definately the best sci-fi picture next to the Star Wars Trilogy itself. If there is ever a sequel, let us all pray that Bruce Willis takes on his role as Korben Dallas, and not some Hollywood fop that will not do the character justice. |

Brilliant movie! Had to see it at least twice in cinema, would have gone again but not out long enough. I just bought the video (15 June 1998) hence my interest again in the movie. Putting together a page about the film on a web site now. Loved all the different elements to the film, excitement, fun, humor, good music, light relief, fighting, action, a hostage situation, a car chase, a mission to save the world, a love story, evil villains, a great hero and a beautiful heroine, a variety of settings, a trip to Egypt, light-speed space ships, a bomb on a timer, a mystery and some stunning visual effects. Excellent soundtrack, bought the CD after seeing it the first time. |

"...for lack of a better word - perfect" :) Incredible movie! 1st place on my private "Best of the Best" list exequo with Blade Runner and StarWars. This movie is so... different. The world, the ships, the aliens - everything is fresh and new. And Leeloo... ;) |

I thought the Fifthe element was another best. The parts involving the love between Corben and Leeloo were the most inspirational. I love watching movies with that sort of twist in it. And I don't think Bruce Willis could have done a better job at it. I have seen this movie many times on TV and I could probably not ever stop watching it. |

Well, the movie's FX were pretty impressive, as well as the tongue-in-cheek humour, but I wouldn't call the acting second to none... it didn't really appeal to me a lot. But one of my favorite sequences would be when Zorg shows the aliens his new 'invention'. |

I'm nuts about this movie! Luckily I caught it on HBO recently and recorded it. Bruce is THE ACTION MAN and LEELOO is "perfect" Bought the soundtrack, but it's missing the cab chase swami music. Where is it? Love it when Leeloo lights up when the Cheek-en is done. Gonna inquire about the movie poster tomorrow. Does anyone know where to pick up any 5E gear (beltbuckels, logo pins, stones, ect.?? Am I obsessed or what?? |

The first time i saw it i really liked it, it was exactlly my type of movie, action, excitement a beautifiul girl, etc... i went and saw it with my girlfriend (whose pet name was actually "leeloo" before i saw the movie). Now about 2years later and 2 months of breaking up with my girl, i saw the movie again; man, tears almost came running dowmn my face when she told Korben her name. Ever since, ive looked at it in a different way a more romantic kind of movie. And i cant stop watching the freaking thing, ive got a fixation with it. However thats the way i would like to fall in love again... |

it's all special effects, i could have written it. in fact, i did write it. i am the author. i was paid gigantic sum of money to create the plot, but later, when i tried to deposite the cash in a bank, i relized it was monopoly money. |

Leeloo was and still is my attraction to this stunning piece o work...guess the reason for that is: She represents something all of us want and need...love... and yet we dont seem to be able to find it in our tainted world...just makes ya think and hold on to the thought of LEELOO btw... my cats' name is Leeloo too ;-) |

If you had a place to put how many times we've seen the movie on cable/video then I would have put 11. Everytime I start to watch it, my mother makes fun of me ;) "What is this.. the 10th Element now?" I don't know how to explain it.. from the music, storyline, actors..everything just works. Its also a very artistic piece (i.e. when LeeLoo is being scanned by the police on the edge of the building - the color of her hair/hands/the spotlight and the music is just so artistic.) I am amazed I haven't bought it yet (yes, i'm a slacker ;) But I know i will soon. Great webpage too.. definately adding this to my movies webpage. |
