Yeshua's Light
Call: Torah Study(YHVH, G-d)
- Not to add to the commandments of the Torah, whether in the Written Law or in its interpretation received by Tradition, which represents the Catholic’s “Oral Law” (Deut.13.1-3, Rev.22.18-19, Cat.65). This does not mean we cannot study and ponder the meaning of either, yet we need to remember that only the Holy See and Sacred Scriptures are infallible. Thus we should keep in mind as the rabbis teach, Torah study is like water, it flows to the lowly places. Therefore, we are to be humble in all we think we see and leave infallibility to those HaShem has appointed.
- Not to take away from the commandments of the Torah (Deut. 13.1-3, Rev.22.18-19, Cat.65, 577, 592, 1967-8, 2053). This includes the 613 Mitzvahs; these were fulfilled, not replaced, Cat.577! It “fulfills, refines, surpasses and leads the Old Law to its perfection”. Exactly what this means is the root of our study in these 613 Mitzvahs.
