Yeshua's Light
Gifts: Prayers and Blessings(YHVH, G-d)
- To worship G-d (Ex.23.25, Deut.6.13). According to the Rambam, the word "worship" in these verses refers to prayer, yet according to the text and our Church it means “adoration” which encompasses not only prayer but much more.
- To read the Sh'mah; which according to Rambam is to be done both in the morning and at night (Deut.6.4-7). This is the Greatest Commandment and The “Golden Rule” (Hillel-Matt.7.12, Matt.22.37-40, Mk.12.29-31, Lk.10.27-28), yet Torah does not actually state we must READ this, but it must be with us always (as we lie down, arise, sit, and move). When we get our study of the Sh’mah on-line we will show where the Mitzvah for “reading” came from and why it is not necessary for salvation, yet valuable none-the-less. Also we see The Glory Be as the Catholic “Sh’mah” and is part of the Rosary, which is often said twice daily as well.
- Grace after meals (Deut.8.10, Cat.1671) (Birkat Ha-Mazon). According to the Catechism this is to be inferred from a larger perspective, that is not only grace at meals but in all aspects of our daily lives.
