Trophies go to first, second, and third place winners for the day in all classes, and open points to the top four in open racing.
Open racing is a race that combines same age riders of rookies, novices and experts. If there aren't enough of the same age then the next age is combined till there is enough. An Open race does not earn points but provides a varied experience for all levels of riders combined. Many ages get combined. At Shoreham BMX there are open awards given to the top 4 winners. The award is "open points". Save 100 points and get a 100 point open plaque at the award dinner.
When you race class, Collect jacket points instead of trophies and save 300 points and get a 300 point jacket.
