No trip
or tour of duty in Hawaii should miss these historical sites. Overlooked
by many a tourest is the USS Arizona Memorial. This site gets plenty of
attention on December 7th. So much so that you probably should have a reservation
if attending. However on normal days the navy launches have little problem
with getting people to to or from the Memorial. Take the side trip it well
worth it and brings the point "Freedom is not Free". And many before us
have payed the ultimate price for freedom.
Mighty MO Museum
The newest addition in ship Memorial's and museum. The "Mighty Mo", USS Missouri BB-62. Not only is this the ship but construction of the museum and pier whit more exibits, make this a place close to both the Naval station and the Arizona Memorial. Im sure as they start running this site will have its own website. I will include it the links on this page when I get information on it.
Now if there is a long line at the boat launch or for those who do not wish to ride the boat there is a new option. Drive over and visit the Mighty Mo. Plus other items of interest will be added to the site as they become available. Also a ships store is to ba added.
