MOSES CORRY was born Oct 1782 NJ. Married (1) HANNAH VAN VLEET/EMMONS; married (2) 27 Jan 1830 Mary Brasington, widow of Richard Clark; born 5 Nov 1787 Minisink Orange Co. NY; daughter of Samuel Brasington and Miriam Cobb. Moses and Hannah were early members of Romulus Presbyterian Church in Romulus, Seneca County NY. Family Bible note about Mary Brasington says "the Only Daughter - the Afflicted one".

NOTE: Van Vleet surname is unsubstantiated and comes from unknown source at the Seneca Co. Historian's office that "Catherine Garrison is daughter of Moses Corry and Hannah VanVleet". CHURCH MANUAL FOR MEMBERS OF PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH IN ROMULUS NY; 1850; says "1816 - Hannah (family name Emmons) Cory; noted as dead in 1850; Moses Cory noted as having moved from within the bounds of the church by 1850.
