WILLIAM SOTHERON was born about 1440; his family seem to have been one of the wealthiest family of the parish at Holme-on-Spaulding, County York, England, for centuries. They farmed extensive estates which they held by leases from the Manor of Holme. He married ALICE (unknown) who survived him. He left a will dated 2 Apr 1509; proved 11 May 1509.
