DESCENDANTS OF GUELYN VIGNE

GUELYN VIGNE was born about 1590 in Valenciennes France. He married about 1608 ARIANTJE CUVILGE born about 1590 in France and died in New Amsterdam in 1655. Guelyn died before 30 Apr 1632 when his widow remarried in New Amsterdam to Jan Jansen Damen. It is believed they sailed for New Amsterdam in April of 1624 on the NIEU NEDERLANDT.

3. Jan born about 1624; died New Amsterdam 21 Dec 1689 married (1) Emmerens Van Nieuwerzluys; married (2) Weiske Huytes. He is said to be the first white male born in the New World. Jan wrote his will prior to 7 Jan 1689/90 when Letters of Administration were granted.

4. (*decd) Rachel bp 16 Mar 1623 Leyden Holland; died 18 Feb 1663; married about 1639 Cornelis Van Tienhoven born abou 1611-1612; died about 1656; son of Lucas Cornelis Van Tienhoven and Jannetje Adrians de Haes.
