Little is known of WILLIAM WRIGHT except that he is named as father of
Ruth Wright who married Caleb Hazen. Ruth Wright is named sister
of Hannah Wright Bailey. History of Putnam Co. NY lists William
Wright of Kent and Carmel residing on Lot 3 of Phillipse Patent;
"Capt." William Wright in Southeast early as 1745. Hazen
Genealogy says that William is of Scotland.

tombstone. Caleb Hazen was appointed ensign 1778 Seventh Dutchess
county Regiment.
