FURBMAN'S RECOVERY LOG
Thanks for checking in on me, I miss you all as much as you probably miss me,...........I HEARD THAT!!! I hope to be back working with you all in the shop real soon. Now I sit here waiting for the visiting nurse service to call so I cna get some care...
this whole thing is a little nuts to me...I have the surgery and they send me home with no antibiotics or anything...guess its the new way of doing thing...30 stiches..2-3 day to heal??? and out...well, now there is a infection in the incision, back to the dr office..they pull out the stitches....and start squeezin the cut like a pimple and stcking q-tips under the skin to clean it...they pack the wound with a drain and tell me to go home..a nurse will call and make contact to take care of the drain and dressing, which should be changed 2 times daily...the nursing service calls and informs me that they will get someone here tomorrow(today) to see if i need any help...UGHHHHH....back on the phone with the dr's nurse...a nice women....related to Moroney's...Think her name was Dawn??? she says wait till today...if they dont get back to me by noon come back to the office....this is starting to piss me off....I am not on well fare here asking for something for nothing.. if I need a little more skill level than just changing a bandaide because of the drain...show me...i'll take care of my self...
so now miss cleo calls and tells there is a problem with my health insurance, this is great...the dr puts in a drain and tells me to have it changed twice daily and sends me home and there is no one yet to take care of it??? guess it is back to the dr office to have the drain cleaned and changed...this is BS....i fell really sorry for the older people who get this type of run around.....
