I first heard & loved Letters to Cleo back in 1994, with "Here and Now." I thought Kay's super fast singing was the coolest thing ever. However, being freakishly young with no money I had to live song by song to hear it on the radio and try to sneak to see the video on MTV (which I wasn't encouraged to watch- this was waaaaaaay before TRL and that cream puff Carson Daly.)

A few years later (around '96-'97) I acquired a few cd's used from Hastings and my obsession was born. Kay's melodic vocals combined with expert instruments and anything-but-ordinary lyrics had me hooked.

Around 1998 I was 14 and just getting the hang of the web. I decided to help myself learn HTML by making a website. What better subject that Letters to Cleo? At the time the only other site for the band was the official one, so I took the job of being the underdog site.

This site has always stayed small, basically because I like it that way. We've never been super popular and that's alright- I basically just wanted to show my dedication for this favorite band of mine.

Now it's about 5 years later, I'm 19, have had a TON of sites, and this site holds a special place in my heart :)

First heard, site made, now pics
