Ahhhh...nostalgia. That's what you will find in this intriguing park in Denver, Colorado. A beautiful art-deco atmosphere hovers around this park. At night neon lights everything, and it is one of the prettiest sights in Denver. This also is one of the only parks I've ever been to that you can go on a weekend and not have it be mobbed. I went on a sunday, I paid my admission price ($1.50), and the price for all day riding ($10), and in three hours of riding I took in about twenty coaster rides, 14 on Cyclone, 5 on Wild Chipmunk, and 1 on Tobaggan. The Cyclone a 1920's coaster is a fun classic. The main thrill of the ride is the curved first drop, which drops right into the superstructure. Beside that thrill the rest of the ride is just pure fun, before the lift is an awesome, dark tunnel. After the 1st drop is a series of airtime filled hills and drops. near the end of the ride, there is a turnaround that features cool lateral G's. The last bunny hop also features such a strong airtime, your shirt nearly comes off! But that's not the best part of the ride. The only saftey equipement on the NAD classic cars are typical seat belts. As soon as you leave the station and get in the tunnel you can just undoo it and go through the airtime-and lat. G run with no restraint! You almost get thrown out from the train. No line for this ride either. That really surprised me. The Wild Chipmunk, the best Wild Mouse I've ever ridden on! No restraints period. I was surprised of the airtime, this wild mouse design must be an older design it features 2 additional hills, today's mouses don't have. The Tobaggan hurt. Nothing more to say. Never ride this. Also the loop-the-loop, bumper cars, loop-o-plane, and train ride were the best of each kind I've been on. This park is worth just going to for the scenery, and the rides make this my #2 park in the world, very, very, close, almost tied with Great Escape.
Ride Ratings- scale from 1-10 10 being best.
