The first track on A Collection of Curiosities is "Taste of Ash" by the band Cobweb Strange. "Taste of Ash" is an aggressive, fast tempo song. At under three minutes, It is the shortest song on the compilation and shorter than any of the bands other songs. "Taste of Ash" is from the bands second CD, Sounds From the Gathering. It is also the first song and first single from that CD.
