The seventh song on A Collection of Curiosities is "I Am I" by the
band Spyglass Guest. "I Am I" is a mellow song with a good groove.
It is only small sample of the music that Spyglass Guest created.
The bands sound ranged from soft tunes reminescent of the Doors to
heavy rockers more in the White Zombie style to complex Rush-like
progressive songs. This particular track is unique for A Collection
of Curiosities in that it was added to the compilation three years
after the break up of the band. It was originally released on the
"Invisible Hand" EP in 1993. Although the band never had an
official full-length release, they did record the majority of what
would have been their first album. There are also live recordings
from several of the bands shows and a live radio broadcast
circulating in the bootleg tape traders market. Plans to release
a double CD of studio and live material are underway.
