Buckshot would be the first to join, even though he had no powers to begin with. Next Infinity and Mutiny would join, both posses strong mutant powers. For half a year they went on solo missions ans only made contact to report on their findings. But after that summer Buckshot suddenly disappeared and was replaced by Adamous, Insanity's friend. In October of 1997, the name "X-POSURE" was thought of and the team went on it's first group mission. Onyl Adamous stayed behind to help aid in the fight against Operation: Zero Tolerance. The three traveled to Iraq, where they believed Apocalypse was hiding and was also the sight of a sort of headquarters for the conspiracy. After deleting all computer files and burning the written ones, the team made their escape and just as they were about to demolish the buiding, a an army of gaurds attacked. Some sort of power dapmener kicked in and the three were powerless. As the three were overwhelmed, Apocalypse came out of the building. He stole one of Mutiny's katanas and teleported the team away, back to their individual homes.
The ordeal left a number of questions. Why steal one of Mutiny's swords? What does Apocalpyse have to do with the conspiracy? Was Buckshot a traitor? Meanwhile, Adamous posed as the leader of the compant that Insanity wrokds for called the S.I.L.F. Company. He arrange a deal with Operation: Zero Tolerance, giving them funds and material in exchange for protection. As Sentinels watched the S.I.L.F. Company, Infinty attacked. the plan was to see just how committeed Bastion was to their alliance and see if they had made any improvments to their sentinels. By this time Mutiny had been captured by Zero Tolerance and had freed himself.
The Conspiracy knew that X-POSURE was on the them and began to fight back. A goverment agent, who was freind to Insanity was kidnapped. And after Zero Tolerance's defeat and Bastion's capture, their deal with the S.I.L.F. company was over.
By early 1998, the group was ready for it's next group mission. Infinity being a friend of Cable's, got an urgent message from him. Cable was after Apocalypse and knew that he might not make it out alive. Infinty left to help him. A few days later, Muinty left and then Insanity and Adamous. Their plan was to make it look follow each other's trail and not to be close together so that they could not be detected. Insaity and Adamous were lost in Switzerland and Mutiny and Infinty has no real luck.
Now a full year after the group was founded, Kain Sand and Y joined the team. But only a month after Y joined, Sand warned Insanity that she was a traitor. Insaity has no choice but to erase all memory she had of X-POSURE and took away the powers that he had given to her. This would be a year that tested the members of X-POSURE. Insanity contracted a virus that neutralized his powers from the conspiracy. Adamous left the team. Infinity began to have visions and other personal matters, and new member Sand was the center of contraversity, for Insanity had several visions of the future, where he was dead. Mutiny took contol of the team, now only Sand, Kain and himself.
This leads to the present when Insanity has decide to leave to team to find an ancient sword, Woundhealer, that might be able to cure his virus and the Legacy virus as well. The latest member, Flow, is also a human with powers given to him by Insanity. Mutiny is now the leader of the team, that only consists of himself, Sand, Kain and Flow as active members.
