Below are two pieces, one
I dug up somewhere,
author unknown,(If anyone
has any ideas email
me so that I may give proper
credit). The second
is an original, written
for Arlene, by me,
Copyright is in my name.
Deborah L. Marine.
You are the Mother
I received,
the day I wed your
son.
And I just want to
thank you, Mom
for the things that
you have done.
You have given me
a gracious man
with whom I share
my life.
You are his lovely
mother and
I his lucky wife.
You used to pat his
little head,
and now I hold his
hand.
You raised in love
a little boy
then gave to me a
man.
~Author Unknown.
You are the Mother
of our Father,
We are the children
of your son.
We enjoy the time
we spend with you,
our days are filled
with fun.
We've learned manners
at your table
and our letters at
your knee.
You taught us laughter,
love, and
honesty.
You've set our spirits
free.
And one day many years
from now,
with children of our
own.
We'll love them well,
and teach them faith,
reaping what you've
sown.
Your a Nana in a million,
A golden shining star.
Your loving fills
us up inside.
with your help, we've
gone far.
So Nana this one's
all for you,
No other can lay claim.
Our Mommy wrote this,
that is true.
But it's our words
all the same.
