Wow, how to sum up on one
page
how Arlene Marine came to
be admired and loved
by so many. Am I a good
enough writer to do that?
Well, even if I am not,
I am a good enough friend
to give it all I have.
Arlene is...human. She has
flaws and faults like
everyone else. She makes
mistakes and learns from
them, like everyone else.
She gets angry and loud,
just like everyone else.
And she loves like nobody else
ever has. Arlene may jump
to conclusions, but will always
admit to a mistake. Arlene
may judge, but will allow for
human frailty. Arlene will
get hurt, yet gracefully
and lovingly toss it aside.
Arlene is the mother I
never had and the woman
I long to be.
Arlene fights the fights
that other's will give up.
Arlene stands up for her
children like a she-wolf
over her cubs. Arlene loves
her children but would
rend them limb from limb
if they abused her
grandchildren. Arlene puts
up with my father.
Arlene is the bane of any
government, she asks "Why?"
long and loud and incessantly.
Arlene is the support
of the weak, there to give
and to succor the needy of
mind, body, and spirit.
Arlene is the staunch defender
of the defenseless and the
most vulnerable woman I know.
Arlene is a Mother.
Arlene will take in an unmarried
woman with child.
Arlene will house an abused
runaway with her last dime.
Arlene would rather buy
clothes for her grandchildren than
food for her table. Arlene
will give it to you with both
barrels then hug you with
both arms. Arlene has lost and gained,
fought and won, lived and
learned. Arlene is humane.
Arlene is my friend.
