 Way back in 1993 (come on, I know you remember) a little show called 'The
 X-Files' made television history by debuting on a little network called FOX. The
 show dealt with two FBI agents, Fox Mulder and Dana Scully (David Duchovny
 and Gillian Anderson) and they investigated cases dealing with the "paranormal". 

 The show was thought to be a gamble. After all, who would be interested in
 watching a show about the FBI and aliens? Critics declared it a lost cause. But soon
 it developed a cult following and eventually spawned into the cultural icon that it is
 today. "The X-Files" has set standards and expectations that other shows are now
 seeking to gain. 

 It's fans, known as X-Philes, are some of the most FOCUSED fans that have ever
 existed. Whether it be for the conspiracy issues dealt with the show or the chemistry
 between the two lead characters.
