Zusje....aka: Little Sister (1995)Directed by Robert Jan Westdijk..... An extremely intelligent and complex film. Martijn visits, after several years without contact, his sister Daantje. Daantje, just started to live on her own in Amsterdam. He tells her he is going to make a documentary from Daantje's live. Martijn enters her live with a videocamera. This creates a tension between Daantje and her brother, because he want to recall something which happend between them in the past. To keep Martijn at a distance Daantje starts a relation with Ramon. Then Martijn gets between them. He manage to talk her over to remember and talk over the things happened when they were kids. This helps him to overcome his obsession for his sister and after playing over the history he finally is able to see her without the videocamera like he did during the whole movie.

ROTTERDAM (Variety) - The Netherlands' premier film event, the Rotterdam Intl. Film Festival, gets under way Wednesday night in the Dutch seaport, with Indonesian director Garin Nugroho's drama about street kids, ``Leaf on a Pillow,'' raising the curtain on a customarily eclectic lineup of some 200 features.

Nearly 60 world, international and European premieres are scheduled for Rotterdam, which runs through Feb. 27.

Festival director Simon Field said the selection of films competing for the event's Tiger Awards underscores the continuing strength of European cinema. Titles include French entries ``Victor ... While It's Too Late,'' by Sandrine Veysset, and Laurent Achard's ``More Than Yesterday, Less Than Tomorrow,'' Christopher Nolan's ``Following'' from the U.K., and Dutch director Lodewijk Crijns' ``Jesus Is a Palestinian.''
