In Effect: Issue 12 (NYC)
Inner Dam: "The Day Everything Meant Nothing"

Damn. This is the real shit right here. This is some of the best metallic hardcore I've heard in a long time. Definitely one of the best bands that I've heard that's not on Victory or Roadrunner or even bigger labels. They're also a lot better than most bands more recognized than them. These guys will blow the fuck up if they continue at this level. At times, like HATEBREED, and EARTH CRISIS, but also at times a kind of BLACK SABBATH feel enters. They're most certainly not a derivative of those bands, but I'd bet they might name them as influences. Imagine a metallic hardcore band that has a guitarist who actually knows how to play. Vocals and lyrics with feeling and meaning instead of screamed nonsense are always a plus. On occasion they're fast with out becoming old school wannabees or 80's speed metal clones. Probably the best recent Cd you haven't yet heard.

Terrorizer: Issue #52 (England UK)

"Inner Dam: " The Day Everything Meant Nothing" CD:

Don't you just love records that slam you through the wall? That takes your head clean off your shoulders with one well-aimed karate kick? If you don't then steer well clear of this mean little bastard of a CD from New York's Inner Dam. It lashes around like a bad-tempered cobra, seemingly intent of inflicting maximum damage on anyone and anything within striking distance, sounding wonderfully nihilistically like early INTEGRITY, especially John's vocals that share that screamed raw feel patented by their DWID. This butchers old school, new school, and thrash metal in equal proportions to arrive at it's own furious brand of mayhem and when "Dying Inside" pauses for John to bellow "The veil of life has covered it's face once again", it is so intense your anus puckers in anticipation of the imminent beat down. Hallelujah.

Hellbender Fanzine Issue #11 (NY)

Inner Dam: "Through the Eyes of Suffering" 7"

Re-releases of their demo on wax, with and extra song. Fans of RORSCHACH and 108 should dig this.

MISFORTUNE Issue #4 (Belgium)

Inner Dam: "When Angels Fall" CD

Inner Dam is maybe the most active hardcore band at the moment. After their 7" and MCD they're back with another good release. Inner Dam is and will always be one of my favorite hardcore bands.

State of Mind: Issue #4 (NY)

Inner Dam: "The Day Everything Meant Nothing" CD

The title sounds like a horror sci-fi book. Fierce in your face everything outa NY fast and energetic songs to slow and emo like. Sounds like a mix between MORNING AGAIN and SHAI HULUD.

Existence of Hate: Issue #4 (Belgium)

Inner Dam: "Through The Eyes of Suffering" 7"

Yes, Inner Dam is so heavy, Their a fucking damn good band!!! Inner dam is a New York Positive hardcore band, they're awesome and have their own sound. Yes, Inner Dam has some influences of bands like: ALL OUT WAR, HATEBREED, and 25'TA LIFE, but also another style, which makes them different!!! Only 1,000 copies have been pressed of this 7", so hurry up to get yours.

In The First: Issue #3 (Maryland)

Inner Dam: "When Angels Fall" CD

I haven't heard anything from these guys in a while. I'm glad they're still around. Mosh Metal-core similar to HATEBREED and WITH ONE INTENT another fine RPP band.

New Direction: Issue #1 (Belgium)

Inner Dam: "The Day Everything Meant Nothing"CD

I've never heard a bad release from RPP/E.O.H and again this new Inner Dam CD is a damn good one! This new effort is a lot faster and more brutal than their previous 7". The come very close to the HATEBREED sound and also the vocals are in that vein, just not as deep. The lyrics stand out from other bands that play this kind of music. I've liked this band from the very beginning and I hope to see them live one-day cause I'm sure they will bring the house down. Check them out!

God Bless Hardcore Fanzine: Issue#4 (NJ)

Inner Dam: "Through the Eyes of Suffering "7"

Inner Dam definitely has a CHOKEHOLD, HATEBREED feel to their music. In depth lyrics and a great production. More hard as hell stuff from the NY area.

Second Nature: Issue#8 (Kansas City, MO)

Inner Dam: The Day Everything Meant Nothing" CD

These guys seem to have their act together. Very tough brutal hardcore like CRO-MAGS, JUDGE, AGNOSTIC FRONT paved the way for. I would see these guys at the Milwaukee Metal fest anytime soon.
