A Token Page for Botan and Ko-enma-sama

I finally found a picture of Botan by herself!
Anyway, as I said, this is my token page to Botan and Ko-enma-sama. I just got to thinking that if I had a page dedicated to the Urameshi-senshu, I should mention their employer, Ko-enma and their indispensable assitant, Botan.

Starting off, Botan's job is guide the souls of the dead...(yada yada yada. Go look at my mythology page). It was Botan who first approached Yuusuke, under Ko-enma's orders, offering him the chance for reincarnation. It was Botan who brought him before Ko-enma to take the trial that would rejoin his soul to his body. Botan showed him how to save his body from cremation, summoned Keiko to save Yuusuke's soul, and offered him his position as a reikai-tantei. Botan became Yuusuke's assitant and taught him to use the detective tools. It is Botan's job to give the Urameshi team news of problems in the Reikai and to convey the arrested criminals to Reikai prison. She is also an emergency healer.
By all her actions, it is obvious that Botan cares a lot about each member of the team and they all owe her more than they could ever repay.

Just as a useless piece of information, Botan's name means "peony" ^_^ Also, unfortunately not shown here, is Botan's oar. Botan uses that oar for transportation purposes mostly and as a handy club when it becomes necessary. She's a bit of a careless driver and the Urameshi team has learned to dread her oar rides.

Botan's seiyuu is Miyuki Sanae.

Ko-enma-sama is Yuusuke's employer. As the son of Enma-Daio, it is Ko-enma's job to maintain order in the worlds during his father's absence. Ko-enma retracted Yuusuke as a detective in payment for reincarnating him. He believed that Yuusuke's experience with death and spirits would make him a useful employee. If that seems rather opotunistic, I suppose it is, but that's not to say that Yuusuke means absolutely nothing to him outside of his usefulness as a resource. That's not true. Ko-enma, demi-god that he is, considers Yuusuke a good friend and he genuinely worries about him on missions. Although he finds Yuusuke annoying at times and vice-versa, Ko-enma has nothing but respect and admiration for his detective.

One thing that bears mentioning is that usually, Ko-enma appears in the form of a small child, a toddler really, I just don't have a picture. About the only similarity between that form and this much more bishounen teenaged form is...the pacifier *^_^. Ko-enma uses his pacifier as a storage space for all his energy. When he uses it, it's impressive!

Ko-enma's seiyuu is Tanaka Mayumi
