Chapter 6

So, this is it, I think to myself as we step into the car. It really didn't seem that bad. I mean, it wasn't New York.Driving to the house, my mom and dad start talking about how they had to get the house ready quickly and that if we don't like the rooms they picked out for us, we could always trade with each other. The drive to the house took about 45 minutes, but I was nervous the whole way. What if the city of Tulda didn't like us or stuff like that? Soon, we were driving down a cozy street and stopped in front of a red brick house. Flowers were planted all over the front garden, and the door was pianted a light black color. The windows looked brand new and so did the shiny car sitting in the gravel drive-way.

I slowsly stepped out of the car and walked with my family up to the drive-way. My dad opened the door and I was amazed to see carpeting on the floor. My mom and dad smiled at each other and my siblings and I ran upsatirs to explore. I ran to the end of a long hallway and picked out the last room on the left. It was a light blue color with a large queen-sized bed in the middle. "I calll this rooom!!" I yelled and ran downstairs to collect my backpack. Maybe this wasn'[t gonna be that bad.
