Meat Crust

This is a basic recipe for a meat crust. I have only used ground beef but you can probably substitute ground turkey or chicken if you prefer. If you are feeling wild :-) I suppose you could even add some sausage to the meat mixture.

The soy protein acts as a binder. If you don't have any on hand you can probably just skip it if desired.

Feel free to substitute or add any spices you prefer.




1 pound ground meat
1 large egg
1 scoop soy protein
Salt to taste
Any spices you like such as garlic or basil


Mix all ingredients together and press into a pie pan, pizza pan or any other shallow pan. Bake at 350 degrees until done - 15 minutes or so depending on how you like it. Drain off any liquid. Top with veggies, cheese, little sauce or any lowcarb toppping. Return to oven until cheese is melted and all is heated through.
