Irish Music
is
hosting an acoustic night at
Fiddlesticks in the West Village
on August 13th.
Our previous acoustic night in
Brendan's bar in the East Village
was well-received, a highlight
being the impromptu appearance of
The Sawdoctors to round off the
night.
These showcases allow the
opportunity to hear Irish bands
play their material acoustically,
allowing the focus to be on
songwriting talents.
The lineup for August 13th
includes the following:

frontman takes a break from heavy
rock to show his songwriter side.
Watch out for 'Baby Blue',
Kevin's unexpected foray into
pop.
Brendan
O'Shea
Off-stage,
Brendan has to be the most
charming
singer-songwriter in New York.
On-stage, he uses his songs to
unfair advantage.
Monaghans
Derwin
Monaghan sounds like Luka Bloom
in a very introspective and
poetic mood. The find of the
Summer.

Messyheads
This
rock band toned down their usual
act to be the surprise of our
prior acoustic session.

Mallon
Aidan
takes a break from drum'n'bass to
focus on his other, seemingly
irreconcilable love, folk music.
