Title: "Goodbye"
She waits for him to speak
In that old corner cafe
There is conversations all around
But she has not much to say
The waitress hands her some coffee
And gives her an honest smile
As the man across the table
Wanders off a thousand miles
Thinking about other things
Distant and Beyond
And pretends the woman next to him
Is silent and gone
She talks to him in a soft voice
But nothing does he say
A tear falls down her pale cheek
And she walks away
And the man at the small table
In that dull dim-lit cafe
Remembers all the sweet things
That woman used to say
But when he returns from his journey
Distant and beyond
He stares at the empty seat
Because that woman's gone
No more words are uttered now
He gets up to walk away
And there is no more happiness
In that old corner cafe.
Well there is more to come! That was only a small sample of work that people have and will be sending in! PLEASE send in your work because this page is nothing without your participation! THANKS!
