Dear Jerry Joseph (J.J.),
We are writing this letter for you to keep close by in your bed. We want you to know how sad we are that we didn't get the chance to hear you, but we are grateful that we were able to hold you and see you.
We know that we were only able to enjoy you for a couple of months, but you were with us during some very special times (like our wedding day). We really miss not having you here with us now, and we will always miss you. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts. We love you very much, and you will always be our beautiful baby boy. We know that you heard us talk to you when you were inside Mommy's tummy. We know that you can hear is now when we talk to you because you are still here with us.
We know that God already gave us your wings in Heaven, so that you'll be our guardian angel. The night you were born, we were sitting outside, and saw one star that was by itself. It was the brightest star in the sky. We said that the star was probably your halo glowing, and that you were letting us know that you were there.
We're so sorry that we could only spend a short time with you. We know that God took you from us so early, but that He must have had a good reason. Someday, maybe we'll find out what that reason was. We know that God will take good care of you in Heaven, and that you'll be happy there. At the same time, we can't help being sad because we miss you. Someday, we'll be in Heaven, and we'll be able to see you again.
We love you very much, and we will always cherish the short time that we spent with you. We won't say, "Good bye" to you. Instead, we'll say, "Good night" as you lie down for your nap.
