The Stars Fell
The stars fell to Earth
and were sprinkled on the ground
my mind went dizzy in the night
and I couldn't tell Heaven from Hell.
We were parked there
bathed in the bright moonlight
wondering just what all to do
as deep desires began to stir.
Our minds raced
with possibility anew
that our flesh could burn high
in devotion or degredation.
Burn in Hell for our
sins or die in the passion as
we try to control ourselves...
and the windows fogged higher.
In the moment we
kissed and parted to safety
because the chances were too
much and the risk of souls' peril nigh.
So as friends we
drove, not making the eternal
choice to mess around where we
knew we shouldn't though pressure strong.
Stars dusted the Earth
and I longed for the touch
but reason ruled the night
and we've not rued choosing Heaven.
