Organization
I have a huge school problem! I can't seem to become
organized! We have to keep folders for every single class! (There's 7 of
them at my school.) In those folders we store our past worksheetes,
assignments, etc. It's so hard for me to keep track of stuff! We're
already on our third week of school and I'm scared to see what my
progress reports are going to come out like! If I don't get help with
this soon, my mom and dad have threatened to pull me away from my school
and send me to a private school! I don't want to leave my friends,
cheerleading, or even my teachers!! I'm getting that desperate. Please
help me find a way to get organized, you're my last hope!!

It's really not that hard to stay organized. Keep seven different
folders for each class and always put the correct papers in the correct
folder. That's basicly all you have to do. Also, get a school planner
so you can write down all of your homework assignments and due dates.
This way you'll never forget anything. It is very useful. If all else
fails, talk to your parents about it. Let them know that you have a
problem staying organized and they could possibly give you some tips.
As long as they know you have the problem you should be alright. Good
luck!-Lisa
Here's an idea. Why don't you get just one folder that you bring to
every class everyday. When you get any handouts, or homework back or
stuff like that from any class put it in this one folder. In this
folder also have a sheet of looseleaf so that you can write down any
assignments or reminders that you need. Then when you go to do your
homework at night, take all the stuff from this folder and put all the
papers into the seperate folders that they need to go into. This way
you won't lose any papers or accidently put them into a wrong folder.
It is hard to get organized but once you do, you'll feel a huge relief.

The best thing to do is to find a system that works best for you.
Make that extra effort to make sure you put everything in it's place and
keep them straight. Different people use different methods. What I do
is use a three-hole punch and put everything in my binder (if I just
slip something in a folder pocket I'm guaranteed to lose it). Also, I
write everything down in my planner; that way I have everything at my
fingertips for reference and I'm constantly reminded what to do each
day. Just find your own personalized system, things are bound to
improve. Good luck!!

MUST you have FOLDERS for every class? Why can't you keep a 3-ring binder or something? I suggest a 3 ring binder with 7 dividers for your 7 classes. That keeps me organized. If you can't do that, then put your folders in a three ring binder. And just have more folders. Like on labeled HOMEWORK, one labeled TESTS & QUIZZES, etc. You figure it out. You got time. Good luck
