The Girls Earliest Memories

Emma- My earliest memory is of being in a pushchair when I was a baby. It was raining heavily and I had a plastic sheet over me. I remember feeling really warm inside and watching the rain splash against the plastic while my poor mum was pushing me along. She was completely soaked.

Mel B- I remember that, for years and years from the age of about 5, I dressed up in my mum's big sunglasses and wore a red cardigan over my head so that I could flick the arms like hair. I'd put a little red cardigan around my dogs head too and he'd play out with me. I've always loved Clothes. When I was 6 or 7 my favorite shop was Tammy Girl. My mum worked at C&A, so she used to bring stuff home all the time.

"When I was about six, my dad told me that if I collected apple and orange pips I could make a tree grow 5 years later. So I saved up loads of pips for a couple of weeks and planted them in the garden."

Victoria- "My first memory is of my Teddy, which an aunt and uncle bought for me when I was born. It was really a shabby looking thing, but I loved it and wouldn't go anywhere without it. It got so dirty that my mum had to wash it in the washing machine. But I made such a fuss when it was taken away that in the end she got another teddy and pretended it was the same one until the other one was clean. I fell for it, even though they didn't look remotely alike. I must have been so gullible."
Melanie C- "Some of my very early memories are of Christmas, when my parents were still together. I was about 2 or 3 and I got this wicked Tudor style dolls house which had a red roof and a removable back so you could play with everything inside. I got a really good doll's buggy too, which I loved."

"Another Christmas when my parents were divorced, I went to stay with my dad. He got me this doll that ate and then pooed, which sounds really gross now but was great at the same time. It had sachets of food that you mixed up and fed it. Then you stroked its belly and poo came out so you had to change its nappy."

Geri- "My earliest memory is of being in my buggy and saying 'hello' to people on the other side of the road as I was being pushed down the street. One of my first words was 'actually' and everyone really laughed at me when I said it. And my nickname when I was very young was Cacitas, which means 'little poos' in Spanish, because I was always on the toilet."
