Each day is ruled by a planet which posesses magickal influences:
Monday (Moon): Peace, sleep, compassion, healing, friends, psychic awareness, purification, fertility.
Tuesday (Mars): Passion, sex, courage, aggression, protection.
Wednesday (Mercury): The concious mind, study, travel, divination, wisdom.
Thursday (Jupiter): Expansion, money, prosperity, generosity.
Friday (Venus): Love, friendship, reconciliation, beauty.
Saturday (Saturn): Longevity, exorcism, endings, homes, and houses.
Sunday (Sun): Protection, healing, spirituality, strength.
The Lunar Phase is important in determining the best times for magick:
The Waxing Moon (from the New Moon to the Full) is the ideal time for positive magick
The Full Moon is the time of greatest power.
The Waning Moon(from the Full Moon to the New) is a time for study and meditation. Negative magick such as banishment is the only magick that should be used here.
The Moon's Sign is another traditional consideration. The Moon continuously moves through the Zodiac, from Aires to Pisces. Each sign posesses its own significance:
Aires: Good for starting things, but lacks staying power. Things occur rapidly, but quickly pass.
Taurus: Things begun now last longer, tend to increase in value, and become hard to alter.
Gemini: Things begun now are easily changed by outside influence.
Cancer: Pinpoints need, supports growth and nurturance.
Leo: Showmanship, favors being seen, drama, recreation and happy pursuits.
Virgo: Favors accomplishment of details and commands.
Libra: Increases self-awareness, favors self-examination and interaction with others.
Scorpio: Increases awareness of psychic power. Ends connections.
Sagittarius: Encourages flights of imagination and confidence.
Capricorn: Increases awareness of the need for structure, discipline.
Aquarius: Favors activities that are unique and individualistic.
Pisces: Energy withdraws from the surface of life, hibernates within, secretly reorganizing and realigning.
