In News:

Turkey is looking for some sort of economic recovery after a crisis lured with Prime Minister Ecevit's comments. Turkey also is bidding for the 2008 olympics to be held in Istanbul.

Miss Turkey in the Miss World competition came in second runner up. The winner was Miss India. The competition took place in England.
-Turkey is getting closer to building towards what is considered an 'EU' caliber country, although the latest currency crisis may delay that process a bit.

In weather:
Istanbul: Nice beautiful weather with highs in the 80's (Farenheit).
Ankara: Expect temperatures to be around 80 to 85 degrees.
Antalya: High in the mid 90's, great beach weather down in the Medditeranean!
Out of Turkey: New York City: Mild and seasonable temperatures: 80's with Summer showers.
