Laying In My Bedroom (Motorcycle Drive By)

I'm sure that once in your lifetime, you had a serious crush on someone who did not know that you existed.  I have too.  This song is for anyone who has, especially to my friend Allison, who had a crush on Matt Ward for almost 3 years and he had no clue that she was alive.

Morning time and the clock is buzzing,

Inside of my bedroom.

And I don't know what I'm doing up this early,

Yuck the sun is in my eyes,

it crashes through the windows,

And I'm getting out of bed,

My sweet dreams stopped of you,

That's when I knew, I could never have you,

I knew that before you did,

Still I'm feeling stupid,

But I keep dreaming , Like I've always been,

I've never been so asleep, And I've never been so awake.

Sweet dreams of you just laying in my bedroom,

I just love starin at your eyes

And you don't mind, And you smile,

In the real world I don't fit with you

I only dream of you, You're beyond reach.

Am I even in your the universe,

Your axis on a tilt, Guiltless and free,

I hope you take a piece of me with you,

There's things I'd like to do if you even knew me,

I would like to build something,

You know it's never going to happen,

And I keep dreaming like I've always been,

I've never been so asleep, And I've never been so awake,

And I keep dreaming, I keep dreaming

Where's the soul. I want to know, Reality is evil.

My courage is everything, but I could never do that,

Someone would see through that.

I wonder this time, Will we even be friends?

I'm in love with you but you wonder, Who I am.

And I keep dreaming, like I've always been

I've never been so asleep, And I've never been so awake,

I wake up to reality. Hits me like rain,

I try to doze out, In my bedroom Alone,

Another day to feel the pain.

I'm not thinking of you again,

Daylight dies and thoughts rise,

The sun goes down in my eyes,

See my sweet dream,

Slowly coming to take me to fantasy,

And I never been so asleep,

And I've never been so awake.
