The Dead Parrot

This old man has a parrot that he really loves and he wakes up one morning to find the Parrot laying on it's back in the cage and  thinks it has die's. He decides to take it to the Vet to try and revive his long time friend the parrot . The Vet tells him it will be $15 for him to check out the parrot and verify he is dead. The Vet looks at the parrot and says he is dead. The man is so distressed he asks the Vet if there are some more tests he could run to assure the bird was dead.

 The Vet said he had a Labrador retriever that was very good at verifying dead birds and was a retriever champion in the national finals that year.

 The man says ok, so the Vet gets the Lab and the dog sniffs the bird and turns away. The Vet says that bird is so stiff the dog test proves it is dead because the Lab will not retrieve it. The old man was still in distress so he ask the Vet if there were any more tests he could run that would once and for all prove the bird was really dead. The Vet says he has this cat that is a grand champion bird catcher and he could sniff the bird and tell if it was truly dead. The Vet brings the cat in and it scans the parrot with it's nose and not smelling any life and turns away. The Vet says that finally proves your bird is dead because the cat did not try and play with the stiff parrot. The man sadly says all right, and then asks how much do I owe you.

The Vet says $650. The man says, wait a minute you told me it would only be $15 dollars when I first came in. The Vet says yes, but after the LAB work and CAT SCAN it's now $650 dollars.
