Halloween Havoc at Dem Bums '79!

The Ducky Boys initiated their '79 campaign at Dem Bums, a chic yuppie hangout in Brooklyn Heights. The crowd was unprepared for the onslaught but were enthusiastic in response. It became a familiar pattern for the Boys, who began a series of hit-and-run gigs throughout South Brooklyn in an attempt to establish a power base in their own backyard from which to launch their extended assault eastward into Long Island and northward into Manhattan...

Long Island Sound! (Spring '80)

By 1980 the campaign into Long Island began to resemble the German march to Stalingrad. Despite impressive performances throughout East Brooklyn and Queens, the metalheads kept a candle on the windowsill for their longhaired idols, patiently awaiting the resurgence of heavy metal while the punks battled the disco freaks on into eternity...

Battle For Brooklyn!

By 1981 the Ducky Boys were losing the battle on both fronts, having been blackballed at CBGB's, antagonizing clubowners throughout the NYC scene, and running into a wall of resistance throughout East Brooklyn and Queens. They would go out in a blaze of glory, with Superstar wreaking havoc on stage after stage, the band flailing away desperately behind him on their way to oblivion...
