mini tracks

Photo Sent By Bob Fischer

These were test vehicles that never made it off the ground. They were called "Articulated Vehicles". They were eventually disposed of and never fielded by the Army. They were intended to be used as a support vehicle for for mech and armored units. ie: carrying supplies, ammo and maintance.

The track (on the right) was a M578. Top Goggins used to use it to bring chow out. It was designed to be primarialy as an Arty ammo carrier.

Say a Little Prayer

The shroud on the fifty caliber says "Say A Little Prayer".

Bob Fischer writes: "The band journeyed to Binh Phuoc many times during my 'in country' tour. I photographed this view on 21 JUL 69, at a change of command ceremony for your old unit, the 2/47. By this point in time I wasn't caring much about Vietnam. Both the division and I were going home. "
