Enter Kadyriah, part 2

The elfess gasped and clutched her head in her hands, almost falling over when that first instant pain flooded her. She could hear the others surprised cries dimly as from great distance. Then she gritted her teeth. Her magics had never been strong, but the wolf within wouldn't go down without a fight. With a cry of pain and rage, Foxeye launched herself at Kadyriah. She had tried to hit his head again, with fist or anything that was in reach. It was close that she succeeded, but then the black-sending was too much... wildly cursing she sank down on the ground, trying to withstand the pain both from that and from the now infected wound in her knee.

Dalamar saw her stumble off of Rainshale's wolf. He cursed himself for not being able to reach her. He sent to Moonslight, :Help Me beloved. I have to help her!:

She sent back, **They do not call you Swiftfoot for nothing!**

At the holt, Blizzard gasped as he felt FoxEye's pain. Growling, he ran out of the holt...forgetting that he was to find the other wanderers.

Dalamar began to send his strength to FoxEye, drawing from everything around him to help heal her. He began to run in her direction...hoping that he would make it to her in time.

That help from the Healer was enough for the moment. When his powers began to heal her wound, the wolfrider could fight the blacksending. She wasn't strong. But pain was a natural thing in the world, pain showed that one was alive and that the hurt wasn't deadly. She opened her eyes again and growled defiantly... she couldn't stand up just yet, but she wasn't helpless anymore.

**STOP IT!!!! We are not here to hurt you!** Soulwhisper sent. The crazed elf looked at her.

"Please don't hurt her, we are here to help you." She looked down as she spoke the next thing in a low almost painful voice. "Your parents told me to help to heal you and the others can help me. Please don't hurt them."

The elf's eyes widened at the naming of his parents. He looked back at FoxEye who was now on the ground then back to the cub that found him first. He slowly stopped the black-send. Soulwhisper looked back up at him and smiled. He grimaced back and then closed his mind to her.

"Thank you," she said in the small voice.

Kadyriah grimaced and then closed his mind off. He refused to believe that the little creature knew his parents. He turned away, not quite subdued...but almost ready to cooperate.

Dalamar rushed up with a look of anger on his face. He looked ready to attack. Behind him, his wolf Nightdancer growled angrily. Moonslight and Rainshale explained what was happening. At first Dalamar was resentful and refused to help. Then slowly, he agreed that no elf must die.

"We are still two nights away from the holt," he told them. "We must hurry and get back. As Blizzard sent, there are others coming."

It took them two all the two night, but they finally reached the holt. There, the weary travellers found three new elves. One, a very powerful healer, had come searching for someone and had found the two females along the way.

Now,days later, all the elves stood in council, trying to decide what to do. Starmist stayed in the back, tending to a bone-worn Brookwind. The sea-elfess had apparently come looking for her dream-lover...one called LightEyes and had gotten lost. Worried about her half-cousin...Falyne, a wood elf from done sought, had come searching for her.

'And now, he is seeking me,' Starmist thought miserably. She couldn't, wouldn't consider the possibility that she had recognized the crazed elf...the one called Kadyriah. He was nothing like her gentle Shadowfrost. 'But he is dead,' she mourned. Unable to face anyone, Starmist now stayed in the shadows...just watching and trying to decided what to do.

In the meanwhile, the healer -Ejnaran- was talking with Snowcloud.
