Kirsix De La Cruz, 33, is facing a minimum of 10 years behind bars and a maximum sentence of life in prison after pleading guilty yesterday to robbery conspiracy and conspiring to distribute cocaine.

De La Cruz turned crooked in July 2005 after the cash-strapped cop borrowed several thousand dollars from her uncle so she could pay for a class to prepare her for the sergeant's exam.

The uncle asked De La Cruz if she knew any dirty cops who would help them rob drugs to sell, according to court papers filed in Manhattan federal court.

On July 10, De La Cruz introduced her uncle to drug dealer Luis German, a man who knew locations of stash houses in Washington Heights near the 33rd Precinct where she had spent much of her nearly 11-year police career.

With German's help, the uncle and a third accomplice made two attempts to steal drugs and hundreds of thousands of dollars in dirty cash, only to abort the plots at the last minute.

On July 13, the team made off with at least six kilograms of cocaine worth $100,000, unaware that an informant had tipped off the FBI.

Authorities arrested the uncle later that day, seizing a backpack filled with drugs and a loaded gun.

The uncle, who is not named in court papers, secretly agreed to become an informant and went on to tape his niece talking about wanting her cut of "the green," meaning cash.

The following February, the uncle recorded De La Cruz discussing the stolen cocaine and worries that they would get caught.

Speaking in Spanish, De La Cruz said, "I have more to lose than everybody."

De La Cruz, who joined the NYPD in 1995, was arrested on April 26, 2006, after a 10-month investigation, and resigned from the force the same day.

She is set to be sentenced on Sept. 26.

Following the arrest of her uncle, De La Cruz attempted to track his case by running his name through an NYPD computerized database on four separate occasions.

De La Cruz once again grew nervous when another accomplice, Markus "White Grande" Vizaniaris, was arrested in January 2006, at which time her uncle secretly taped her asking whether Vizaniaris knew where she worked.

She also agreed to run the accomplice's name through the police database to gather more information about his arrest, court papers show.
