The NYPD cop charged with smuggling military-grade guns to the Philippines was sprung from jail Thursday on a $300,000 bail.
Rex Maralit is facing five years in prison for conspiring with his brother, a U.S. Customs & Border Patrol cop in California, to ship weapons overseas.
Authorities busted Maralit, the equal-employment opportunity officer at 1 Police Plaza in Manhattan, saying he used his badge to score discounts on military-grade firearms that he and his brothers bought and re-sold to contacts in the Philippines.
Maralit, a 10-year-veteran, was busted Aug. 5.
His brother, Wilfredo, was released on bail by a California judge and is due to appear in Brooklyn Federal Court next week.
A third brother, Arial, is still being hunted in the Philippines, authorities said
