Read and respond to the dialogue between Hilda and Solness ( from the bottom of page 116 Hilda:" ...You came and kissed me..." to the first line of page 118  by Solness: ".. such a thing as that.")

2. Do you think the kiss story Hilda was telling Mr. Solness true? Support your answer.
3. Why does Mr. Solness admit everything Hilda said happened although he does not recall what happened ten years ago?

5. Compare Mr. Solness's attitude towards Hilda to the one towards Kaia.
6. Based on the dialogue between Solness and Hilda, what kind of man is Solness in Hilda's eyes?
7. Why is Hilda here  as revealed in the play?
8. How does Solness react to her wish or dream?
9. Where will the Solness put Hilda as a guest? If you were Hilda, how would you feel about it?
10. The fact that Hilda does not mind sleeping in that room reveals what part of her personality?
11. Use words to draw a picture of Hilda( list her personality traits).
12. Why does Mr. Solness not feel threatened by Hilda, who does belong to the younger generation?
