Project 1(Create a College Application Home Page)
1. a. Do research in the Internet to find a college you might be interested
in attending in the near future. Browes the college site to get the necessary
information. Find the essay questions.

b. Write a report about your
experience of doing college-research on-line. Compare
three college admission requirements and list the advantages
and disadvantages of each college.(The report could be written in
the form of a persuasive or expository essay)
c. List at least three best (in your
opinion)college links on your web site with
annotations.
2. To start writing your college essay, go to the
site that gives you all the info you need to know to write a college
essay.
3. Share your first draft of the essay with your journal buddy,and
help each other revise the essay. You may also go the '98
Tech-Prep web site to read some of my former Tech-Prep students' college
essays.
4. After you finish the final draft of your college essay, publish
the essay onto your web site. We will
share our writing by visiting each other's web site.
Project 2
1. In order to complete your book reports,
you need to do research in the Internet to find two books of the appropriate
level and content written by a contemporary writer who is still alive.Read
the books and write a critical essay as your comments. Send your comments
to the writer through e-mail. If you get feed-back, we'd like you to share
it with us by publishing it onto your web site. Try to continue the e-conversation
with the writer and form a mentor-mentee relationship. When you are comfortable
with asking more questions and getting to know the writer better, use e-mail
interview to write a report about the writer.
