We'd gotten our tickets about 3 weeks after they'd gone on sale and ended up half way back of the theatre. But once the lights went down and thanks to a very sweet maitre'd, she moved us to within 2 seats from the stage!!!
This was by far the coolest meet~n~greet ever! There was a small group of us and we were told not to rush, to take our time. One by one we were taken back to meet Trisha. Over approximately 20 mins., I met her parents and we chatted about the times I'd met her and seen her in concert, playing casino games, a mutual friend of ours, etc. Trisha seemed amazed that I remembered the exact date and location I had first met her! It was 9/13/98, a Sunday at a K-Mart in Broomall, PA where she was signing. How's that for detail? When we were about to have our photo taken, she gently removed my pass that was sticking to my shirt, saying she wanted it to be more like we were hanging out together. She told her assistant to keep snapping photos but I only had 2 left in my camera. Ordinarily you are limited to two things for her to sign but that night, she offered to sign as many things as you wanted, including the color photo that she grabbed from a stack that you see below which she also signed for two friends of mine. I finally had to tell her that she'd signed enough already. When I got ready to leave we hugged and she thanked me for coming to see her and for waiting for my turn. She also asked if I'd come to see her again. Will I go to see her again??? That's a given!!! This was the last appearance before Trisha's hiatus from the road and she wanted it to be really special. How cool is that??? :D
