When feeding your show rabbits, keep a close watch. You don't want them to get fat, but you do want them to maintain condition. That is, well fleshed, good sheen to the fur, and clean and well groomed. About six weeks prior to the show you can give them some oats which will add flesh but not fat. Some black oil sunflower seeds will aid the sheen. Check the rabbits to make sure they are not flabby. If so, cut back on the food a little. Don't let them get bony. If they seem that way, increase the feed. You want a nicely filled out animal. Keep a close eye on their fur, type and color. I hope this helps you. Good luck on the show table!
