Chapter 2
"Are we there yet?"
"No"
"Are we there yet?"
"NO! Damnit Nick! Quit asking me that! We Won't be there for another 5 or so hours!" Kevin yelled at the restless blonde in the back seat. Nick pouted and turned to look out the window.
"Kev?" asked Bri.
"Yes, Brian?"
"Can we stop please? I'm starving and I really gotta pee!" Kevin rolled his eyes.
"Can't you hold it?" He asked while trying to change lanes in the heavy traffic.
"Not for 5 hours!!" Brian yelped. Nick looked up at Kevin.
"Now that you mention it, I gotta go too."
"Me three." Chimed in AJ. Howie was asleep in the passenger seat not saying a word. Kevin pounded the steering wheel in frustration.
"All right, I'll stop in a little while at the next rest area, can you hold it for another 15 minutes or so?" Three heads nodded in the back seat. "Good." Grumbled the eldest Backstreet Boy. He was beginning to think of pulling over and walking the rest of the way to their destination. God, they were so annoying. Now he knew why he never wanted to do things with them on his breaks, which came less and less now. He guided the vehicle into a small rest area with porta-potties. "Hurry up and go we need to get moving if we want to make it there by dinner!" He said to the three youngest. Brian made a hideous face.
"I'm not going in there! That's disgusting!" AJ made no effort in getting out of the car either.
"Rok's right, you can catch diseases in those!" Nick sat unmoving as the other two weren't exiting. Kevin took a deep breath trying to calm his anger.
"Either go here or wait until I stop for gas in 2 hours! I'm not driving all over just because you don't like the bathrooms! So either piss in the porta-potties or go on the damn grass for all I care. Your choice but decide now because I'm leaving!" He yelled starting up the engine. Howie continued to sleep beside him, none of the banter bothering his slumber. Brian hopped out of the car, there was no way he was waiting 2 hours, he'd explode! He disappeared behind the nearest bush and was back in 2 minutes. Kevin turn to the other two boys who had been complaining minutes earlier. "Well?" Heaving a sigh, AJ and Nick went behind the bush.

"John Jacob Jingelhemier Schmdit!" Sang AJ in his most horrible voice he could do "His name is my name too! Whenever I go out, the people always shout, THERE GOES JOHN JACOB JINGLEHELMER SCHMDIT DA DA DA DA DA DA! John Jacob..."
"SHUT THE HELL UP AJ!" Exclaimed Kevin. "You are so annoying and if you don't stop singing that stupid song, I'm gonna leave you on the side of the road and you'll have to hitch hike the rest of the way!" AJ made a disbelieving face.
"Some hot girl would pick me up in a minute and I wouldn't have to spend my Christmas with you guys! I could get some instead! Merry Christmas AJ!" Nick looked at AJ.
"Get some?" AJ grinned.
"Yeah shorty, it means.."
"ALEXANDER NOT ANOTHER WORD!" yelled Kevin as his fingers turned white from gripping the steering wheel. He began to count to 10 silently in his head. Glancing in the rear view mirror he found Brian and Nick playing a game on Nick's gameboy. They had been quiet until AJ had started singing, then they had ignored it, now Nick was asking questions.
"Kev, how much longer?" The blonde asked, leaning over the console from his middle seat.
"Sit back Nick." Kevin grumbled concentrating on the now empty road.
"How much longer?" Nick persisted.
"About 10 minutes less than the last time you asked!" A loud sound of snoring filled the van.
"Man would somebody shut Howie up?" Complained Brian. Nick picked up a piece of paper he had been drawing on earlier and wadded it up, chucking it at Howie. Howie made a weird snorting sound and rolled over still asleep.
"Stop it Nick!" Yelled Kevin. "Let him be!" Ignoring Kevin, Nick wadded up another piece of paper and chucked it again at Howie, but his aim was off and it bonked Kevin in the head. A fit of laughter erupted from the back seat. Kevin jerked the van to the side and stomped on the break making the three boys in the back and the sleeping Howie launch forward. He then unbuckled his seat belt and turned around to look at AJ, Nick and Brian. All the laughter stopped instantly. "I am not kidding around anymore guys! Either you behave or you will have hell to pay as soon as we get to that cabin! I don't care what holiday it is! You are pissing the hell out of me and I'm not going to take it, now sit there and shut up! All of you!! There will be no more misbehaving or I swear to God, you don't know what I'll do to you! Is that understood?!" Shrinking back, the three nodded. Kevin pulled back onto the highway smiling to himself for the piece and quiet.

Kevin hummed along with the radio as he continued the peaceful drive down the highway to their destination. Since he had yelled at them, AJ, Nick, and Brian hadn't uttered so much as a peep. And Howie was still asleep, how, Kevin didn't know, all that yelling hadn't aroused him yet. He looked in the rear view mirror to check on the three troublemakers. Brian was leaned up against his window sound asleep. In the middle, Nick still played the gameboy. Kevin chuckled to himself, that kid and his video games, thank God for game boys on long car rides. He glanced at AJ who was pouting as he looked out his window. Kevin frowned. "What's wrong Aje?"
"I'm a little carsick." He moaned. Kevin sighed, what else could go wrong? "Do you need me to pull over?" He asked.
"No but can we stop soon? You guys could eat and I could walk around for a few minutes? Please?" He looked pitifully at Kevin who sighed. He was looking a little green.
"All right buddy but until then why don't you and Howie switch seats? You may feel better sitting up front." Kevin said as he pulled over again. Nick looked up, not as engrossed int he game as he felt the car slowing. "Why are we stopping?"
"AJ and Howie are just gonna switch seats Nicky. Play your game."
"Oh, Okay Kev." Kevin laughed at his short attention span and reached over to wake up Howie.
"D? D wake up." Howie turned his head to the side and peered at Kevin. "Are we there?" Kevin rolled his eyes, he sounded just like Nick. "Not yet but can you move to the back? AJ's feeling a little sick and I think he should sit up front."
"Sure" Howie replied, opening his door and stumbling out into the cold air. AJ did the same, taking a few deep breaths before jumping in the front. "Better?" Asked Kevin. AJ nodded, leaning his head on the window. "We'll stop soon I promise, maybe if you eat you'll feel a little better." The rebel just nodded again closing his eyes. Kevn glanced at a passing sign that advertised a McDonald's about 20 miles away. Perfect, he thought, we'll be fine until then. Howie's snoring interrupted his quiet thoughts and Nick leaned over the console again.
"Are we there yet?"
