KINGSTON BANANA

This exotic treat was invented by myself one cold winter night, when the tropics sounded real good. Somewhere in my memory I recalled reading a James Bond novel that discribed a Jamaican dessert that was the basis for this dish. Adventourous hosts can substitute 151 Rum and serve this Flambe to their guests.

INGREDIENTS



Makes a single Serving:
A deep fryer full of oil
1 banana
thin pancake batter
1oz chocolate syrup
confectionary sugar
whipped cream
Shredded coconut
2 cherries
1/2 oz Rum(optional) or 1/2 oz Ammeretto

INSTRUCTIONS



1)Split banana lengthwise, and dust with flour
2)Dip banana halves in batter
3) Deep fry until golden brown & crispy on the outside.
4) Roll drained fried bananas in confectionary sugar
5) place bananas in a long ice cream dish, or cut in half and place all 4 pieces in a round dish.
6) drizzle chocolate syrup over bananas
7) top with whipped cream & cherries in the middle of the dish
8) sprinkle with shredded coconut
9) Pour rum over dish evenly & serve immediately


NOTE:!! !
If serving Flambe, set dish on table, Pour Rum and light in front of guests.
