Finding information on the internet can be an art or at least, a skill. Knowing what you want is only part of the process. Understanding where to look, what to ask for, and how to narrow the field are all part of a sucessful search. Let's say you want to find information about Lighthouses in Michigan. If you simply type in "LIGHTHOUSES" you will get an amazing amount of web-sites to look at. By typing in "MICHIGAN LIGHTHOUSES" you will narrow the field considerably. However, doing a search of Michigan Parks, may also result in some sites, seeing as some of the lighthouses are in fact in parks. Searching "GREAT LAKES LIGHTHOUSES" may also come up with other sites. Some of the other Search Engines that are avalible include,1)Lycos 2) WebCrawler3) Alta Vista4) Hot Bot5) Yahooligans-Yahoo for KIDS6)Yahoo 7) Northern Light8)Mamma center>These are just a few of the larger Search Engines on the internet. However to find more, simply type in SEARCH ENGINES as a subject, and you will find hundreds. Many are specialized by subject and may yield more varied results.
