- PLUS UNIT: The second Generation , faster, and able to perform more functions
This perhaps is Too
late for you
to decide what unit you want to buy, but
like thousands of WEB-TV users, you may
decied you want to upgrade to the Plus
Unit after a while on-line.
So.... What are the
benifits??
THE FEATURES
OF THE PLUS UNIT:
1) TV
Interactivity: This feature allows your
web-tv unit to intergrate with your
television, so that you can search TV
listings, program your VCR to tape a
program, and jump to WEB-SITES from your
favorite shows
2) VIDEO-CAPTURES:
This allows you to send Photos from
YOUR camcorder to friends in E-mail, OR
to capture a still photo from a TV show
and send it to a friend.
3) AUDIO
MESSAGE: This allows you to add a 30
second Voice message to your
e-mails.
4) FASTER SURFING: The
modem in the Plus Unit is a 56k speed,
compared to the 28k one in the Classic
Unit.
The final decision can be made considering the following few questions.
DO YOU HAVE A CAM-CORDER?- If not then the Vid-Cap feature will be of little use to you.
DO YOU WATCH ALOT OF TV?- The intergration features of the Plus unit, are used basically only by people who watch a fair amount of television
ARE YOU AN AVID WEB-TV USER?- For those who want to build web-sites, or who surf the internet frequently, the faster speeds of the Plus unit will be usefull, for the occasional surfer, the benifits would be limited.
