W.E.R.I.S.E. presents their Halloween Bash: MASQUEROTICA! at the Slipper Room, 167 Orchard St./Stanton in the East Village in NYC!

Admission is: sliding scale, $10 + with a mask; $12 + without a mask. This event sounds like it's gonna be off da' hook with erotic performances, tarot card readings, a costume contest and music by my favorite DJ infiniTee, and DJ Reborn! Well, it's come to this folks, I have been asked to be one of the hostesses of the evening, so it will be "all tawk, no rawk" for me. I ain't even bringing the guitar. This event is called, "The Hello Fun Party" and it is a benefit for NY Cares. The always brilliant and beautiful, Julia Cho will be playing bass, and singing backing vocals, and I'm gonna see who else will be around that I can promise my first born to, to play with us! It's being produced by the charismatic and foxy, Dawn Wan, with her company, VITAMIN DAWN PRODUCTIONS. She's as brainy as she is pretty. Hate her. Just kidding. Other acts on da bill: Swampbelly: 7-member bluegrass/alternative country band; Motor Noises: 4-member alternative jazz; Elizabeth Beers: opera singer with accompanist; Mata Buena: Latin percussion band; comedienne, Karen Sklaire; Latin dance group, Bailatina; and "Big band swing meets Latin jazz..." group, Free Radicals, from Texas. An added bonus is that there's going to be an edible art fashion show! Yowza! Come on by, y'all!
