A Thought For Today

Love can be measured in so may ways,A tender touch, a reassuring smile,

A listening ear when things go wrong,Staying to talk for a while,

If kindness were measured by love,What would the measurement be?

Knowing I think, what is in our hearts, It would surely be easy to see,

Caring is part of the process, Understanding and patience too,

Taking a moment out of a busy day, Is all we'd need to do,

It means so much to some people, More than a lot to others,

Would it take so much out of your life, to be kind to one another,

If a friend needs some of your valuable time, Don't put it off for a minute,

Enjoy this precious life to the fullest, and all the things that are in it....

Sadly, for the People of Columbine

We Must Not Forget

Twelve teens and a teacher, lives lost in vain,

Families and friends feeling all too much pain,

Questioning why, such anger and rage,

In their book of life, losing many a page,

I'm sure on that day, it was like any other,

Leaving for school, waving to Dad and Mother,

Nobody knew that their lives would be taken,

Finding no solace, just bitter and shaken,

A teacher looks forward to giving a class,

Ends up shielding his students,   from bullets and glass,

Giving his life to save many more,

Leaving home that day, returning no more,

Lonely now are the families and friends,

Crushed that these lives had to come to an end,

Hoping faith in God will pull them through,

When they're at wits end, not knowing what to do,

Support from all over, I'm sure will be there,

Showing these families that we all really care,

Together in our minds, we all need to pray,

God will ease their pain, more and more each day.....

The sweetness in your voice, The confidence I feel,

Makes me realize even more, How much you are real,

Sensing all the caring, All the happiness too,

Even feeling warm inside when you say "I love you",

You make me feel so special, Each and every day,

Being ever so grateful, But not knowing what to say,

Everything you say and do, I'm forever thankful for,

For the fortune of being loved by you, I can't ask for anything more....

Thousands of miles from everything,

Where there is no right or wrong,

There is a plant named Love Lies Bleeding,

Its ruby blossoms are tender and fleeting,

Rough handling splits its blooms apart,

Reminiscent of the human heart.....

Fire and Desire

A dream of intimate moments, baring themselves in my mind,

colorful and vivid, like I could reach into my thoughts and grab one,

So lifelike I can taste the sweetness of your lips, the nectar of love,

Sensations I have never enjoyed.......never before felt;

The experience of touching your skin is so real, being so close to you,

I can smell the aroma of your body, the essence of pure honey.

I lose myself deep into your soul, imagining us entwined together,

and nothing can penetrate my concentration on you....no outside noise,

no other beings. I only hear the heartbeats of two lovers, united as one,

a lasting reminder of how near I am to heaven, and how far away I am,

from anything else....save for the innocence of our love....deep, devoted,

always and forever.

Closing my eyes I know the desire, sensing the love that I feel,

Every day that I know you're a part of me, A relationship ever so real,

Two hearts that are matched, united as one, for a lifetime of love and caring,

Enjoying the closeness and all the emotions, giving to each other and sharing,

Words that are said, or just a fond look, eye contact that tells so much more,

Without even saying a single word, our passion levels do soar,

Knowing the touch of that special someone, without having to question a thing,

Confident always, having no doubts, what this beautiful relationship brings....
